A loan of $1,500 helped to expand his merchandise.

Javier's story

Javier, 46, is a hardworking and enterprising man, as well as being very happy and kind. He is married to María, who is a seamstress and the mother of their son Pablo, 30. He lives in his own house with his wife and son plus his daughter-in-law and a grandson, whom he loves very much.

He sells groceries, bookstore supplies, medicine, and other things. He opened a small store for this in his own house, from where he sees to the needs of his neighbors, who are his main customers. He also sells fast food at night with the help of his partner. He started more than four years ago, during which time he has been running his store. He considers the business profitable for the profits it gives him, because there are no other people in the area with this business and the variety of products he sells.

He likes his job because he attends to the public, with whom he socializes. In this way he amuses himself and feels like a productive man. He manages to pay for the household expenses, because he needed to increase his income. For that reason he plans to expand and open a wholesale stall that will open soon in the town market.

This is his third loan with MFP. He is happy about being able to have financial support, so he promises to make his payments on time.

With the requested amount of 4000 nuevos soles [PEN], he will invest half in buying convenience food items and save the balance for future investments that might come up.
