A loan of $1,325 helped to repair his "motocarros" [three-wheeled motorized vehicles].

Olmedo's story

Olmedo, 45, is separated and the father of two daughters, ages 16 and 15. They live with their mother but he sends them money on a monthly basis for their expenses and necessities. Now he lives in his parents' house with his sister and her family.

He has worked in passenger transportation for two years. He used to work as an electrician until an unfortunate accident caused the mutilation of three fingers. Unable to continue with this job, he decided that he had to do some other job and began to work as a motorcycle taxi driver. Little by little he managed to work and he began to generate good income. For this reason he decided to buy another "motocarro" [three-wheeled motorized vehicle] and continue growing with his business.

He likes his job because he has free time to be able to do his things. He has greater peace of mind because, although he runs some risks with some distracted drivers, this job is safer than his previous one.

This is his fifth loan with MFP and it is going well for him in his group. Thanks to the previous loans he managed to buy one more motorcycle. He hopes to be able to continue making his payments punctually, being responsible as he has been thus far.

This time he is requesting 3500 soles [PEN] to repair his two vehicles, which are deteriorated because of use and bad road conditions. He also will buy the required insurance and driver's license.
