Angela, 50, is single and lives with her 17-year-old daughter who is studying at the agricultural technical high school in the town of Florencio Villareal.

Angela sells chicken and fish and has her own business at the crossroads in a town called "El Porvenir". She has been in business for 12 years and claims she sells more fish because there are many chicken merchants. With the loan she plans to buy more merchandise to continue in her business, since she needs to buy more variety of fish to give her customers different options.

Angela is a member of the communal bank "Las Estrellas 2", which is comprised of ten working women who are able to provide for their families. They are: Maria de Lourdes, Petra, Cruz, Nidia, Ariana, Virginia, Asucena, Zoila, Angela and Abad. They sell: meals, Telcel cell phone recharges, beauty products, corn, hardware, bread, Mexican snack food, chicken, fish, coconut, lemon and food.
