A loan of $2,675 helped a member to increase the inventory of her business by buying some crates of beverages to resell at a profit.

Champions Plus Group's story

Régine, aged forty-nine, is the chairwoman of the Community Bank named “Champions Plus”. It is composed of ten members united in solidarity for receiving Kiva loans with the goal of developing their businesses.

Régine has been part of the micro-enterprise world since 2005. She sells beverages. Her business is located to the north-east of Kinshasa. Régine has already received loans from MFI HOPE DRC five times and repaid them correctly.

The loan she will obtain next will be used to buy more crates of drinks to resell retail with the goal of increasing her profits. Her business generates a profit of $15 per week. Regine’s ambition is to become a beverage provider in her area. She is a widow and the mother of six children whose ages range from nine to thirty-two. Four of them attend school.
