Vainqeurs Plus Group's story

Charlène is a chairwoman of a Community bank named “Vainqueurs Plus”, which is composed of 19 microentrepreneurs united in solidarity to receive loans from Kiva through IMF HOPE RDC with the goal of developing their businesses. Charlène sells second hand clothing. She started her business in 2009. With hard work and determination, she succeeded in making it thrive thanks to good management and accumulated profits. She intends with the next loan to increase the inventory of her business by purchasing one second hand bundle of clothing in order to increase the profit. Currently, she earns a profit of $80 every week. Charlène is twenty-six years old, divorced and the mother of two children aged four and eight years old. One of them goes to school. Her dream is to open a general boutique in her environment.
