A loan of $800 helped a member to buy sacks of corn.

Mivado Group's story

The group MIVADO comprises three persons who are from the same family. This is the fifth time this group has requested financial aid from ALIDé for boosting their business. The group's representative, Agnès, is the one in the photo with her hand raised. She is 42 years old and lives in Benin. She did not attend school. She is married to a driver named Bonaventure. They have three children, all in school and in their care. Agnès lives together with her husband and children. The diverse household expenses are covered by the couple.

To cope with her multiple expenses, Agnès has been selling corn and akassa (a local food made from corn starch) out of her home for four years. She gets her supplies from northern Benin.

Seeking to satisfy her customers and to increase her sales and revenues, Agnès along with the other members of the group MIVADO are requesting another loan from ALIDé.
