A loan of $3,000 helped a member to buy bags of corn, peanuts and sugar.

Dagbegnikin Group's story

The Dagbegnikin group has 12 members, who all live in the same neighborhood. The group’s representative is called Natacha, and is pictured with her hand raised in the photo.

Natacha is 25 years of age and lives in Benin. She is married to Raymond, and the couple has two children at school under their care. Natacha herself did not go to school. She lives with her children and husband, and together with her husband she makes sure the family’s various needs are met. To contribute to meeting these needs, Natacha sells sugar, peanuts and foodstuffs (corn, etc.) in a market in Benin, and has done so for seven years. The revenue generated from this business allows her to help with her family’s various needs.

To meet the requests of her every-growing customer base, Natacha has asked for a third loan from Alidé, along with the other members of the Dagbegnikin group.
