Shamim Bibi's Group's story

Shamim bibi is a 44-year-old married woman, and by this relationship she has eight children: five daughters and three sons. Shamim and all of her daughters are engaged in decorative embroidery work. They craft beautiful embroidered designs on clothes and fulfill the orders of their customers. One of her sons works in a factory, and a second reads in the 5th standard. The youngest son doesn’t do anything. Her husband is a motor mechanic who works in a motor workshop where he repairs vehicles and earns income. He is very expert and experienced in his work.

Shamim has requested a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her embroidery business. With the loan, she will buy beads, colored threads and sketches in larger quantity so that she and her daughters can all expand their business and make their profits double in size.
