Marcelina is a mother of three children between the ages of three and fourteen years. She is married to Masha who is a teacher. For the past five years, she has been selling both new and second-hand clothes at the market, mostly to passersby and neighbors. Her other source of income includes earnings from her spouse. Market competition is her major challenge. Marcelina owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water, and she dreams of opening a boutique in future. She intends to use the loan of KES 20,000 to purchase bundles of clothes to sell.
