A loan of $475 helped to buy supplies for her business.

Ketty's story

Ketty, 34, is a good, kind, very hardworking woman. She lives with her husband with whom she has two children who are 12 and 5 years old. They work hard to provide their children with a better quality of life; they own their house where they all live together.

Her work consists in capturing moments and important events in the lives of people by means of her camera. She provides photography services at various events and happenings in the city. Besides providing these services wherever she’s required to, she also has a small photography studio at home that her husband runs. She does film developing, diplomas, certificates and others of the same sort. They’ve been in business 12 years together and they make a good team. What she likes about her business is that it allows for two incomes; one is fixed in the home-based studio and the other is when she goes to various events by request. At the start, like all entrepreneurs, she had difficulties and fears but with time she became settled in her work and now she’s very good and renowned for what she does. Her goal is to expand the business to have more to offer her customers.

This is her third loan with MFP and she commits once again to make her installment payments like she did with the previous loans where she showed herself to be responsible with her payments. She’s happy to belong to her communal bank because all are responsible and ready to help each other out.

She will use the requested 1200 soles to buy aluminum frames, glass and supplies to make keepsakes like parchment scrolls for the upcoming school graduations.
