A loan of $775 helped to buy merchandise (sweaters, jackets, tracksuits, and pants, among other items).

Rosa Emperatriz's story

Rosa is a 30-year old young woman that lives with her small son, who is 7 years old. Rosa loves him very much; he is her reason for living, and what drives her to go out each day with enthusiasm and a great desire to work. Her home is located in the city of Ica, which is characterized for having a warm climate year-round. It is an agricultural area that produces, primarily, grapes, cotton, and paprika, among other crops. When Rosa has free time, she likes to play volleyball with her friends and neighbors. Also, at times, she likes to eat one of her favorite dishes, the delicious “Ceviche with Rice and Duck”.

Rosa works in her business selling clothing with great enthusiasm. She dedicates herself to working around 4 hours per day, since she also cleans houses. She believes that things are going well in her business because she is very kind to her customers and, most of all, is a hard worker.

Rosa is very thankful for the Kiva loans given that, thanks to the help they have provided, she will be able to buy more merchandise for her enterprise. In particular, she can purchase winter clothing such as sweaters, pants, tracksuits, and jackets, among other items. In this way, she’ll have a greater variety of products to offer to customers and improve her income to continue working towards making her biggest dream a reality: “To have a lingerie and costume jewelry store.”
