Vivogbe Group's story

The Vivogbe group is composed of 20 persons who belong to the same community. The representative of this group, named Bernadette, is the one with her hand raised on the photo. This is the third time this group requests the financial support of ALIDé in order to increase the level of their activity. Bernadette is 59 years old and is married to Robert. The couple has three children, all attending school and under their care. The couple lives together with their children. They cover together the household expenses. Bernadette did not attend school. For the last twenty years, she has been selling various items (corn, length of cloth) and cosmetic products as a secondary activity. This allows her to cover her various expenses. She buys her items at a market in Benin. In order to be more competitive and to better meet the demand of her customers, Bernadette, along with the other members of the Vivogbe group, would like to obtain a third loan from ALIDé. The previous loans have been fully paid back.
