Biasha is a married woman with three adult children. She sells cashew nuts at the market, and she has been doing so for the past ten years. She dreams of opening a shop in the future. Biasha lives in her own house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Seasonality of the product is her major challenge, and she describes buying food for the family to be her greatest monthly expense. With the loan of Ksh 30,000, she will be able to purchase cashew nuts to sell.
