A loan of $575 helped to buy seeds.

Soledad's story

Soledad is 53 years old, single, and has a 25-year-old son who lives with her in her home in the District of Palcamayo, Tarma. She engages in various activities. Soledad starts very early by selling wool, but her inventory sells quickly because she has been doing this for 30 years and knows how her business should operate. She also looks after her parcels of land where she grows vegetables such as spinach, peas, lettuce, carrots, and other crops. Soledad is a woman who is known for her charisma and cheerfulness, which are qualities that help her to hold on to customers. In addition to her crops, she also sells firewood. "I have worked alone for many years since everything I do is for my son so that he lacks nothing and can finish his university studies," she says proudly. One of her goals is to see her son develop as a person. Later on she would like to strengthen her firewood business so that she can live peacefully. Soledad would also like to manage her crops by hiring workers to handle all of the physical work.

This is her tenth loan with MFP. Soledad has demonstrated that she is trustworthy by submitting her payments on time. She is a member of the Communal Bank "Virgen María" (Virgin Mary), a steadfast and hardworking group that has demonstrated unity and responsibility in their work over many years. The loan she is requesting will be used to buy three bags (costing 550 PEN each) of pea seeds for her next planting cycle.
