Blue Group's story

Loisa, who is a widow, has five children who go to school. She has been running several businesses. She does catering as well as sells charcoal and vegetables since 2008. She works from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit. This will be Loisa's 3rd loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy food stock for her catering business. She started selling charcoal and vegetables to help pay school fees and household expenses, and has repaid all her loans successfully. She now wants a loan to buy more sacks of charcoal to sell. Her dream is to one day be able to build her own house. Loisa will share this loan with her loan group "Blue", which has a total of 21 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
