Grisha's story

Grisha lives in Vani district in West Georgia. He is married and lives with his family: wife – Natela and three sons (22, 21 and 12 years old). Grisha works in a local concrete factory as a worker. Along with his main job, Grisha is actively involved in the family's agricultural business, which is the main source of the income for them. They have 700 nut trees and a vineyard with 700 wine trees. Grisha and his sons sell the harvested nuts and grapes in the local market. Their total average monthly income is 600 Laris.

Grisha requested credit to start up a sheep farm and a beekeeping business. With the received credit, Grisha will purchase five sheep and two beehives with bee colonies. Grisha won’t sell the lambs for couple of years and will breed the sheep. After 2 years, he will start the sale of lambs. Also, he will sell honey in the village. The income for the family will significantly increase. They will be able to purchase additional household goods to improve their living conditions.
