A loan of $400 helped to buy cassava and vegetables in large quantities.

Marie's story

Marie is a 47-year old widow, who is mother to four children ranging from 22 to 27 years old; all the children are studying. She has a retail trading activity, where sells fresh and dried food (she makes cassava flour from fresh cassava and cuts vegetables) in a local market. She would like to expand her activity by buying a large quantity of products (cassava and vegetables) to transform into food, as this will allow her to avoid running out of stock all the time. The profits will allow her to not only satisfy her already growing customer base but also to increase her profits. The profits will allow her to provide for the needs of her large family, which she takes care of, and, in time, grow her working capital.
