A loan of $300 helped to buy water, clay, wood, compost, seeds, fertilizers, etc.

Verónica's story

Verónica is 22 years old and lives in humble conditions with her family which consists of her husband and two children. Because of the economical situation it is not easy in these times. Some years ago she decided to work making and selling handicrafts such as griddles, vases, and flowerpots which she makes at home. She made this decision because her husband’s income as a mason was not sufficient to meet the household expenses. In addition to this business she also works growing corn and beans as their living conditions are very basic and they need to find a way to make a living. Her family is the main source of inspiration for Veronica, and her greatest desire is to give them a better quality of life, different from what she and her husband have had. She is asking for this loan in order to invest in the business buying raw materials for the making of the handicrafts (water, clay, wood, etc.) and in order to buy farming supplies (compost, seeds, fertilizers, etc.). She wants to continue working in her business as she hopes that in this way she can stabilize her business and continue to receive earnings that will provide better life opportunities.
