A loan of $650 helped to buy lipstick, mascara and powders.

Dolores Moncerrate's story

Dolores lives in the Trinitaria island, urban site at the south of Guayaquil. She is 45 years old and works doing housework for others, she also sells products by showing catalogs to her clients. Dolores tells us that her day is really busy, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. she does housework and during her free time including weekends she sells products. She doesn't see major difficulties in her job, however winter is a problem because the streets are in bad shape and it makes her job harder. She is single but has two children ages 17 and 15, they are both in school. With the loan she will buy cosmetics to sell. In the future she hopes to improve her income because she wishes to expand her house and help her children go to university.
