A loan of $1,150 helped to purchase cacao plants.

Luis's story

Luis, 23, is hardworking and active. He is separated from his partner and his son Diego, who is two years old. In spite of everything, he gives him love and all of his support to grow.

His work is tilling the land and cultivating cacao plants, which are very profitable. He has done this work for five years. Normally he works alone, but during harvest time, he has the support of day laborers, who help him harvest the cacao beans more quickly. In time he hopes to expand his land to cultivate more cacao plants and coffee, so that he can earn more income. His priority now is increasing his cacao production.

This is his third loan with MFP, and he is thankful for the financial support that he receives to continue with his objectives. He is also glad to be a part of his community bank because the members are responsible people. With the 3000 nuevos soles that he is requesting, he will purchase cacao seedlings to plant in his fields.
