Silvia's story

Silvia is 40 years old, a hard-working woman and eager to get ahead. She lives with Miqueas, who works in commerce. Fruit of this union they have two beautiful sons; Jordin who is 18 years old and Pablito who is six years old, whom they love very much, inhabiting comfortably in their own house.

She makes a living of the rent of small plots of land. She owns an extensive area of land, which she wanted to give it a use and she noticed the need for coal producers to have a space where to prepare their product, then, she decided to give them access and charge them tolls and security. It started over five years ago and so far she has been working alone and has about 50 tenants. She regards hers business as quite profitable one, due to the demand that has and the location close to the area of sawmills, where bring the firewood needed to develop the coal.

She likes her business because it gives her an income, which allows her to pay her household expenses and the needs of her minor sons, whom are her source of motivation to get ahead. What she does not like is when it rains constantly because it spoils the access roads, reducing the earnings but still manages to be profitable. Therefore, she plans to continue her business and add a space to do a tourist recreational area.

This is the second loan has with the field partner MFP, is grateful for the financial support to continue with her business and move forward with her plans. In addition, she promises to pay her payments punctually as in her previous loan. With the amount requested, 3500 new soles, she will purchase materials such as pipes and other for the maintenance of the water networks, to provide them with a good service to their tenants.
