A loan of $450 helped to buy bean seeds and the supplies he needs to sow his crops.

Julian's story

38-year-old Julian comes from Teustepe. He is married and studied up to the third year of his primary education. He is a farmer by trade and works sowing corn, beans and wheat. He is the father of three children. Julian started in his business 26 years ago. Through his efforts and hard work, he has been able to improve his living conditions and buy necessary items for his home. His harvests have been beneficial as he has used the profits that he has made to set up a grocery store in his home in order to help toward the household expenses. During the sowing season, Julian pays laborers because he doesn't have family support. After he harvests his produce, he sells it in Managua where there is a lot of commerce.

Julian is requesting this loan to buy bean seeds and supplies that he needs for sowing his crops. He believes that the loan will help him because he will be able to sow his crops at the correct time and expand the area over which he grows his crops. His future plans are to repay the loan and invest in his harvest. He will use the profits he makes to strengthen his sales. Julian also hopes to continue improving the infrastructure of his house. His immediate goals are to prepare his land and buy the seed that he needs for sowing his beans.
