A loan of $200 helped to buy sacks of potatoes and onions.

Juan's story

Juan is 47 years old and is a native of Granada. He is single and the father of 4 children, which are in his charge. A merchant by trade, he has worked in the sale of vegetables for 25 years. He started this business through his first job. Now that he is retired from military service, and from what he was able to save from his work, he attained a section in the market where he decided to set up a place to sell vegetables. Since then he has brought this business ahead with his own capital. Before, he also sold fried food but decided to stop because it didn't generate many profits to support his family. The business of renting rooms is another source of income.

He requests the loan to buy sacks of potatoes and onions, the products that he lacks in his sales booth. He values that the loan will help him, since he will invest it in his business to improve and supply the products that are in demand with his clients. His future plans are to improve his home with the profits that the business generates.
