A loan of $1,975 helped a member to buy powdered detergents, fabric softeners and other supplies.

Virgen De Fatima Group's story

The “Virgen de Fátima” women's committee is in its first loan cycle. It is composed of 12 women, who are all friends and neighbors in the city of Ybycui. These women have great unity, responsibility and solidarity, and they report that they have a strong desire to work and get ahead, both with the group and in their families.

Maria Fatima is one of the members. Her business is a laundry, and she comments that she has a lot of customers who always bring her their clothing to wash. It is a job involving much sacrifice, but she is very proud of what she does, since it is dignified and honest work.

She is requesting the loan to buy powdered detergents, fabric softener and other supplies, with which she will be able to keep working and fulfill her orders.
