Vanny, 42, is married and resides with her husband and two children in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in growing rice and breeding pigs for more than ten years, earning approximately $5 per day. Her husband helps her run the business. Her children are garment workers who earn about $4 per day. In order to improve her family’s finances, Vanny is requesting a loan of $1,500 to purchase more pigs to breed and re-sell when they gain weight. By doing so, she would earn more profit to support her family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and rebuild her present house to make it more comfortable for her family.
