A loan of $3,100 helped a member to buy vegetable seeds.

San Bartolo Group's story

Edna Magali is married and is 40 years of age. She studied to be an elementary school teacher and has three children, all of whom are studying. She gives classes in a school and also works growing beets, but now wants to grow other kinds of crops. She has three years’ experience in growing vegetables, and is supported by her husband who runs the store that they have.

Edna Magali decided to create a group and request a loan, which she plans to use to buy seeds and grow more produce (carrots, beets, radishes, cabbages, etc.). In the future she hopes that her production will increase. The remaining members of the group sell goods, work in stores or are involved in agricultural production.
