A loan of $5,000 helped a member to buy 10 bags of corn and drinks (10 cases of Primus, 7 cases of Aigle drinks and 8 cases of Fanta).

Sheria Group's story

The client is the leader of the business association Sheria. She is a 46-year-old entrepreneur, widowed and the mother of 7 children. Her husband died unexpectedly. She sells corn and exhibits her wares in an outlying district of Kiziba II. She has been doing this for about 16 years. She also sells drinks (Primus, Fanta, Coke, etc.) from her home to increase her income. Luanda received her first loan of $50 from Hekima in 2005, so that she could strengthen her capital. This new loan will be used to buy 10 bags of corn and drinks (10 cases of Primus, 7 cases of Aigle drinks, 8 cases of Fanta). Luanda's aim is to make her business sustainable and to build her house comfortably. The customer thanks Hekima for its actions to empower women with lower incomes so that they can experience economical and financial emancipation.
