Rosalba De Jesus's story

Rosalba has faced much adversity in her life trying to support her 2 children, but thanks to her desire to work and get ahead she has overcome these difficulties and kept moving forward with her family. As a single mother and head of household, Rosalba must ensure there is sufficient income to pay the household expenses, so she works hard everyday at her business to have a better life.

She learned tailoring when she was about 15 because her mother was a dressmaker and taught Rosalba the trade while she was a teenager. Since then, Rosalba has been working at this trade, first at her mother's side, and then independently. With this training, she has her own income. Her main products are uniforms for both high schools and hospitals in her city, and she has a large order from one of her customers. Rosalba is seeking a loan that will allow her to buy materials and supplies such as fabric and thread to fill a large order for uniforms from her customer. Her business will, therefore, continue to thrive and provide some income for her household with which she can have a better life.
