A loan of $1,150 helped to purchase fertilizer.

Luzmila's story

Luzmila is 32 years old and lives with Freddy, with whom she has 2 children; Brayan and Cielo. They live in a rented house in the Acobamba district of Tarma.
She started farming when she was 17 years old, at which point she already knew some things about the activity because her parents are farmers. Her main crops are peas, beans, corn and other vegetables. With the help of her husband she can handle all the sacrificing tasks involved in taking care of her fields. "Bellavista is an area that produces good corn on the cob, that is why many buyers go there" she proudly comments.
Freddy also works providing passenger transport services, in this manner they can cover their main expenses, especially the educational costs of their children, who constantly need school supplies.
One of their goals is to build their own house. They already own a lot of land but do not have the time to carry out the project. At this time they plan to realize this goal.
She belongs to the community bank “Señor de Muruhuay” an this is her 11th loan with MFP. She feels very grateful for the support that she gets from the group and promises to repay the loan on time.
Luzmila will invest the money that she is requesting in the purchase of bags of fertilizer for her corn crop which she will plant in June. The remainder of the money will be used to construct their house.
