A loan of $5,075 helped a member to increase her food inventory.

Azizi Group's story

Asha, who is in her mid-30s, is married and has two children who are still going to school. She has been a food vendor since 2010. She works from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm daily and is able to make a small monthly profit.

This will be her fourth loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to restock items, buy a TV set and radio, and pay for household expenses. She has paid back all loans successfully. She wants a loan to increase the food inventory in order to sell more food. Her dream is to one day own a hotel.

She will share this loan with her loan group "Azizi," which has a total of 15 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
