Sixto

Bolivia
Cochabamba, Bolivia / Metal Shop

A loan of $1,025 helped to buy an arc welder and oxygen for his metal shop.

Sixto's story

Sixto is 29 years old. He is married and has two children who are 1 and 3 years old. He makes a living making different structures out of metal in his welding shop. His shop is located in the area of Ciudad del Niño.

This is the first loan he has taken out through the communal bank. He will use the loan to buy an arc welder and oxygen for his metal shop. The reason he requested a loan is because he needs to increase the size of his business with the purchase of more work tools. He has come across challenges in his business which include competition, because there are many welding shops in the area, as well as social problems, because there are road blocks which keeps customers from being able to have easy access to his shop.

He will use the loan to continue improving his tools and business. Sixto is a very hard working young man. His hope is to strengthen his shop and continue improving his business day by day, to increase profits and be able to support his family.
