A loan of $925 helped to buy fertilizer and plants.

Juan Carlos's story

Juan Carlos, 42, lives near the town of Huatusco, Veracruz, with his wife and three children. He studied until the age of 18. Ten years ago his mother asked him to take charge of the plots of land that he now owns. He had to learn everything related to growing and producing coffee.

Juan Carlos is a producer of organic coffee. In his spare time he does the majority of the agricultural work such as cutting the grass with machetes, pruning, and the harvest. His goal as a coffee producer is to be able to renew his plantation because some plants are very old and no longer produce well.

To achieve such a goal he is requesting a loan that he will use to buy plants to do the reforestation as well as to pay for the agricultural work he will do to prepare his farm.

In this way he will see his investment reflected and also will improve his quality of life. In addition to this, he will be able to realize his dream, which is to continue supporting his children so they will finish their professional studies.
