A loan of $800 helped to buy some pagnes.

Afi's story

Afi is a 31-year-old woman. She is married to a metal scrap dealer and has three children who all attend school. Her oldest child is 12, the youngest is 6.

Afi has been working as a reseller since 1996. She sells pagnes (colorful West African fabrics), in her town, to customers who come from all walks of life. She buys her goods in Lomé and works alone. Her main challenge is that she is currently out of stock.

Afi has requested her third loan from WAGES for the purchase of pagnes. She wants to reinvest in her activity.

In the coming years, Afi would like to open a shop. She says that, with the profits, she will provide for the well-being of her children and will take care of their education needs.
