Ernestina's story

Ernestina is an artisan who has been producing handcrafted lamps for the last five years. Sometimes she hires employees to help her, but mostly she runs the business with the help of her husband. A loan will help Ernestina purchase more materials such as leather and fabric to create the lamps. Her dream is to export her products to the United States. Ernestina is receiving an individual loan as a member of the village bank "Maria Auxiliadora" in Cusco, which is located in the South Andean region of Peru. The bank is in its 10th cycle with Asociación Arariwa.
