A loan of $1,150 helped to buy more fruit.

Victoria's story

Victoria was born in the city of Quillabamba in Cusco Department’s La Convención Province but currently lives in the city of Cusco. She’s been living in Cusco for 15 years now since she moved here for her daughter’s schooling. She’s 47 years old and in a common law relationship; she has three children.

Victoria is a fruit merchant. She buys and sells bananas, oranges, mandarins and papayas, for example. She’s been in this business for several years and does very well thanks to the effort she puts into it.

On this occasion, Victoria needs the loan to buy more fruit. She travels to La Convención Valley to get her products. Victoria’s dream is to open a store to sell fruit brought from the north of the country like apples, peaches, grapes and other fruit as well.

Victoria belongs to Asociación Arariwa’s “Siempre Adelante” (Always Forward) communal bank in the city of Cusco.
