A loan of $925 helped to buy organic fertilizer for his coffee plants.

Juan Manuel's story

Although Juan has had a close relationship to coffee growing for many years, it was not until three years ago that he began to produce it because he inherited a plot of land from his father and his uncle. Juan combines his work as a coffee grower with his office job. For this to be possible, he hires laborers who are responsible for helping him do the agricultural work itself. In this way he also helps the family economy of the people he hires.

Juan's current annual production is 2.5 tons, but he knows that the expanse of his land is enough to produce up to 8 tons annually. This is why he has renovated a lot of his plants, so that in a period of three years he can reach his goal.

He needs to buy fertilizer and do weeding and conservation work on his plots of land, and for this he needs a loan. He wants his farms to produce more so that in the future he can leave them to his children for them to work.
