Jaafar's story

Jaafar is a 26-year-old Lebanese single man. He lives with his parents and four siblings, who are all working. His father and siblings strive to work under pressure in order to have a good way of living. And after many years of experience as a carpenter, Jaafar decided to open his own carpentry business in 2004. He’s a reputable man who has gained a fair number of loyal customers despite his young age. Today, he is asking for a youth loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to purchase the needed quantity of wood for his work. He notes that this will improve his business and thus boost his productivity. In the future, he plans to take on bigger projects outside the country.
