María Luisa's story

41-year old María Luisa lives in her own house with her 23-year old son who is a university student. Through a great a deal of effort she has managed to provide her son with an education and with God’s help he is now in his last years of university. All of this has brought much happiness to María as in her eyes the most important thing is for her son to have access to better opportunities in life. This is the reason why she continues to work so hard every day.

María sells cereal grains and other items to her customers in the municipal market where she lives. It is in a busy area and so her stall is visited often. Many people prefer to buy from her as she is a hardworking woman, honest, and very responsible. Since her son is in the home stretch of his education and needs even more support, she has decided to buy more items for her business and trust that in this way she will be able to earn more money so she can give her son the help he needs.

For this reason she has asked INTEGRAL for a loan to buy rice, sugar, beans, maize, maicillo and other things that her customers ask for. She hopes that this investment will bring in sufficient money to pay for her own needs and those of her son which get greater every day.
