A loan of $1,025 helped to purchase groceries and supplies for her grocery store.

Juana Gricelda's story

Juana is 51 years old and lives in Guayaquil. She is currently separated and her children are all adults. She lives with her children, but the house belongs to her. She has a grocery business, which she started on her own initiative with help from her sister. She likes her business more than she ever imagined, mostly because it allows her to work from home and stay with her children. Juana works from 7 in the morning until 9 in the evening; she works alone, without any help from assistants. Her biggest concern is illness. She will use the loan to purchase supplies, groceries, and Yanbal-brand cosmetics. Juana’s goal for the future is to stay active in her business.
