A loan of $3,375 helped a member to buy supplies and baking equipment.

Mujeres Empresarias Group's story

Maura is 35 years old and married with three still-dependent children. With a desire to better herself and improve her economic situation, Maura decided to take a pastry-making course. With what she learned, she decided to open her own business, where she currently works preparing and selling desserts like cakes, empanadas, etc., which she makes to order. Thanks to this business, she has been able to help her husband with household expenses and the education of their children.

At this time, she requested the loan to buy supplies like flour, sugar, milk, etc., and equipment like pots and pans. Her greatest wish is to open a shop in her residence where she could offer basic products.

Maura is a member of the communal bank Mujeres Empresarias, which is composed of nine responsible people. They are grateful for the loan granted. Maura appears on the right side of the picture, in the front row, dressed in a white t-shirt and blue pants.
