A loan of $625 helped to buy soaps and local drinks.

Abiré's story

43 years old and the mother of three children who are all in school (the eldest is 21 and the youngest 11 years old), Abiré is married to a soldier. In order to help her husband with the household expenses, in 2010 she began selling local drinks and soaps from her home. She buys her stock in Lomé. As she lacks merchandise that is sought after by her customers, she is seeking this first loan with WAGES in order to purchase more stock. She wants to reinvest the profits she makes into the business. In the future she wants to see the business prosper and to assure the development of her children.
