Saem is 43 years old. She is widowed and resides with her mother and two children in the Kandal Province of Cambodia. She has been involved in weaving Krama to sell for more than ten years, earning approximately $4 per day. One of her children is an arc welder who earns about $3 per day. In order to improve her business, Saem is requesting a loan of $1,000 to purchase more thread for weaving Krama to sell. This money will help her expand her business and earn more profits to support her family. In the future, she would like to use the profits to help her youngest child earn a bachelor’s degree.
