Earn is 55 years old. She is widowed and resides with four children in Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. She has been involved in making creel to sell and fattening up pigs. She earns about 6 USD per day. Three of her children are employed; as a construction worker, a farm worker and a seller. They earn about 10 USD per day.
Earn wants to run an additional business in order to improve her family’s finances. Due to lack of funds, Earn is requesting a loan of 1,000 USD to purchase farmland to use for agricultural crops cultivation. This money will help her acquire the security to start the business. In the future, she would like to expand her pig farm and help her youngest child earn a bachelor’s degree.
