Salvador is 34 years old. He went to secondary school and is single living with his parents. He relates that when he was little his father had a tire repair shop and car wash where he learned how to work when he was still very little. Now that he’s grown he’s inherited the family business. He’s very happy to continue with this business and more so because he works alongside his brother. The car wash is located alongside the highway that runs in front of his house. The business is one of the better known ones in his town because of the good service they give the cars. Many of his customers comment that in his business service to customers and attention paid to the cars is very good so they always come back to Salvador to wash their cars.
Salvador will invest his loan in the purchase of an air compressor, hoses, soap, brooms and flannel rags to continue with his business. He hopes it will continue making progress because thanks to it his family has moved ahead and he wants to give his parents a better quality of life.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
