A loan of $950 helped a member to buy ingredients to make bread.

La Esperanza Del Futuro Group's story

The communal bank is called "Esperanza del Futuro" and comprised of three women who each has her respective business and lives in a community called Benito Juárez where they celebrate the Saint Joseph festivities on March 19th.

The person interviewed was Beroisa who is married to Cesario. They have six children, three of whom are still under their care while three are married.

She has requested a loan to buy ingredients to make bread. Beroisa has been in business for five years and says it is going well since she has been able to increase her activity and income.

She learned the trade when she was young, but started working at it again five years ago to help her husband cover household expenses and give her children an education.

Her goal is, through her business and with the loan she is receiving, to continue getting ahead until the end of her days.

The members of the group are: Martha, who will buy milk to make cheese, and María Deysi, who will buy products through catalogue.

In this group: Martha, Beroisa, Maria Deysi
