A loan of $5,525 helped a member to buy more sacks of Irish potatoes for making more chips to sell.

Msafiri, who is in his early 30s is single. He has been selling chips for one year now. He works from 11:00 am to after midnight daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit.

This will be his 2nd loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loan to buy more sacks of Irish potatoes, bought a mattress, household expenses and has paid back his loan successfully. He wants a loan to buy still more sacks of Irish potatoes for making more chips to sell. His dream is to one day be able to build his own house.

He will share this loan with his loan group "Reebok" which has a total of 20 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back their loans.
