A loan of $575 helped to buy natural fertilizer.

Noemí's story

Noemí, 37, lives with her children in her own house located in Huachac. Her entire life she’s been dedicated to two activities which, according to her, are her “passion.” She’s been in agriculture ten years already and she also provides transportation services. All this time she’s seen that growing corn is the most profitable so she sells all her harvests at a price that allows her to recuperate her investment.

Noemí knows that each work day is hard both at planting and at harvesting and she needs to hire laborers; her family members also help when they have time. She always needs to invest money to prepare the fields and for the nutrients the soil needs to produce a quality harvest. She plans to continue forward with this activity.

She’s a member of the “Santo Domingo” solidarity group and this is the 6th MFP loan. She’s very excited about having a group loan because she believes that she learned quite a bit for her family’s economic benefit so she promises to be punctual with her installment payments.

Noemí will use the money from her loan to buy sacks of natural fertilizer for her next planting season.
