A loan of $400 helped to buy natural fertilizers.

Ida's story

Ida is 52, lives with one of her sons, and takes care of her home in Huachac. She has 22 years of experience farming her own land, work she has pursued since she was young. Her son also helps her each season with planting and harvesting, which require manual labor along with a tractor depending on the condition of the land. After the harvest, she sells her products in the local market, thereby increasing her income. While waiting for harvest time, she also generates income selling yogurt, which she buys from a local dairy plant. She is planning her next production right now.

She belongs to the communal group “Santo Domingo,” and this is her 11th loan cycle with MFP. She is happy to have the friendship provided by her group. The members are responsible and work well together. Ida is grateful to be part of this team and promises to make her payments on time. She will use the loan to buy natural fertilizers and some sheep.
