A loan of $950 helped to buy a refrigerated car to transport fish.

Julio's story

Julio, like many Peruvians, has worked in many trades such as tourism and handicraft sales. Now he has a business buying and selling fish. He purchases the fish from Lima and then sells them in Cusco.

A loan will help Julio purchase a refrigerated car to transport the fish. He says that the car is very expensive and he has been looking for funds from a number of sources to accumulate enough capital. Julio, age 60, has two children who now live and work independently.

Julio is receiving an individual loan as a member of the village bank "Comuzone I" in Cusco, which is located in the Andean mountains at 3,400 meters above sea level. The bank is in its 17th cycle with Asociación Arariwa.
