Sitan's story

Ms. Sitan is a married woman who is 35 years old and childless. She lives with her husband in the North Heremakono district of Bougouni. Not having attended school, she quickly started an income-generating business. Before her current business of selling cereals, she sold condiments at the Bougouni market. That business was not successful. For this reason, she started to work with her husband at buying and selling cereals. With six years of experience, she has mastered her business and is very popular and sought-after. After considering for a long time, she decided to take a loan with Soro Yiriwaso to buy two tons of corn and 10 bags of millet. She sources in Manankoro and Gueya and resells at the Bougouni market and sometimes also in Bamako. She is on her first loan with Soro Yiriwaso. Ms. Sitan expects to earn a monthly profit of 90,000 FCFA. With her profits, she plans to expand her business.
